1. Who we are

Undivided is an iPhone app made by Future Addictions LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It helps adults pause before opening an app they choose and choose something better instead. You can reach us at support@futureaddictions.com. Our full contact details are in section 20.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers:

It does not cover our other website, futureaddictions.com, or any other product. Those have their own privacy policy. It also does not cover Apple. Apple’s own services, like the App Store, Screen Time, Messages and iCloud, follow Apple’s Privacy Policy.

3. What we collect

Through the app: nothing. “Collect” means data that leaves your phone and reaches us or someone working for us. Undivided does not do that. Specifically:

The only personal information we ever receive is what you choose to send us by email. See section 10.

Apple statistics. If you turned on “Share With App Developers” in your iPhone’s Settings (Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may give us crash reports and usage statistics. Apple shares them without your name or contact details. We use them only to find and fix problems. You can turn this off in the same place.

4. What stays on your iPhone

To work, the app saves a small amount of information in its own private storage on your iPhone. The app and its built-in pause-screen parts share this storage. It stays on your iPhone. We cannot see it.

InformationWhere it comes fromWhy the app keeps it
InformationThe date you confirmed you are 18 or olderWhere it comes fromYou tap “I am 18 or older”WhySo you are not asked every time you open the app
InformationYour faith experience setting (Woven In, Light Touch or Core Only)Where it comes fromYou choose itWhyTo show the amount of faith content you asked for
InformationYour accountability partner’s name and phone numberWhere it comes fromYou type them in (optional)WhyTo fill in a message draft for you to send
InformationAccountability settings: weekly or Covenant mode, check-in day, 30-day start date, whether your partner agreed, what you chose to shareWhere it comes fromYou choose them (optional)WhyTo remind you and to build a message draft
InformationYour goals, what usually pulls you in, your written plan (“When I’m most tempted… Instead, I will…”) and an optional label you type for your protected appWhere it comes fromYou choose or type them (optional)WhyTo show your plan back to you and personalize the app
InformationActivity counts and times: pauses, better choices, times you continued anyway and locked breaksWhere it comes fromCreated when you use those featuresWhyTo show your progress and, only if you turn it on, to add counts to a message you send
InformationMessage results: whether a draft was sent or cancelled, and how manyWhere it comes fromApple’s Messages screen tells the app only “sent,” “cancelled” or “could not open.” The app also saves the dates of your last invite and weekly update.WhySo a cancelled message is never counted as sent, and so reminders come at the right time
InformationProtection settings: Apple’s coded token for the app you chose, whether protection is on, whether and when protection was turned off, which pause-screen button you last tapped, and when a 15-minute access period or a break endsWhere it comes fromCreated when you use Screen Time featuresWhyTo show the pause screen and turn it back on at the right time

None of this information is sent to us. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

5. Screen Time

6. Accountability messages

7. Age check

8. Faith choices

Undivided is built by Christians and open to everyone. Your faith experience setting can relate to your beliefs, so we treat it with care. It is stored only on your iPhone. It is never sent to us or shared, and it is never used for advertising. You can change it at any time in More → Settings → Faith experience.

9. Habit and wellness information

Some things you enter may relate to your well-being. Examples are what usually pulls you in (like stress or loneliness), your plan and your pause counts. This information stays on your iPhone. We do not collect, share or sell it. For more detail, see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

10. When you email us

11. This website

12. Sharing and selling

13. Tracking and Do Not Track

Neither the Undivided app nor this website tracks you across other companies’ apps or websites. Neither lets any other company collect information about your activity over time. Because we do no tracking, there is nothing for us to change when your browser or device sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal.

14. How long data is kept

15. Your choices and how to delete

You want to…How
You want toClear your activity historyHowIn the app: More → Settings → Delete local history, then tap Confirm. This clears activity and message counts. Your partner, plan and settings stay until you change them.
You want toRemove your partner’s detailsHowIn the app: More → Accountability Circle → Edit partner and sharing. Delete the name and the phone number. (Turning accountability off does not delete them.)
You want toStop the pause screen / take back Screen Time permissionHowOpen your iPhone’s Settings app → Screen Time → the list of apps with Screen Time access → turn off Undivided. You may need your Screen Time passcode. Or delete the app.
You want toDelete everything the app savedHowDelete the Undivided app from your iPhone. Its saved information is deleted with it (except copies in your own backups).
You want toDelete emails you sent usHowEmail support@futureaddictions.com and ask us to delete them.

16. Your privacy rights

17. Children

Undivided is for adults 18 and older. It is not made for or directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and the app collects none from anyone. If you believe a child has emailed us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

18. Security

Because the app does not send your information anywhere, it is protected by your iPhone’s own security. We recommend a strong passcode and keeping iOS up to date. We protect support emails with an account that only we can access. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to a minimum.

19. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top. If a change is important, for example if the app ever begins to collect data, we will tell you inside the app or in the App Store update notes before the change takes effect. We will also ask your permission first where the law requires it.
